About Us

Sikora and Sons (And Daughter Also) began with a dad, Ben, who needed a new hobby. He knew his wife, Kim, would kill him if this new hobby left her alone at home with their three small children, so - because he could do it right from home - it was 3D printing to the rescue!

Before diving into the world of 3D design, Ben always said he didn't have a creative bone in his body. His first 3D prints were practical objects, like a key to unlock the bedroom our son had locked himself out of. As Ben explored more of the possibilities around 3D printing, he looked to his background as a molecular modeler to drive his next creations. Soon, he was modeling his own designs. Eventually, Ben merged his scientific modeling experience with a newfound passion for artistry and design. Along the way, he looped in our two boys and our (surprise!) little girl. And Sikora and Sons (And Daughter Also) was born.

Our company celebrates the creations that Ben and the kids dream up, but Kim (hi, that's me!) contributes almost all of the behind-the-scenes work. Girls run the world, after all. As I like to say, it’s Sikora and Sons (And Daughter Also) (But Mostly Mom).
